Darren is a serial entrepreneur and the creative force behind our organization, having invented the fully compostable, single-serve NEXE Pod. Given his expertise and industry knowledge, Darren leads the innovation, R&D, and driving the IP/trade secrets strategy. Darren has also been leading the charge for implementing the end-to end manufacturing capabilities and scaling the operations at the Windsor Facility. Before co-founding NEXE, Darren was Granville Island Coffee's President, which grew from a small artisan roaster to a nationally recognized brand within five years.
Ash is responsible for the overall strategy, including capital markets and media, and is also part of the team that oversees operations and innovation. Ash has played an instrumental role in raising capital, with over $80 million raised to date. Before co-founding NEXE, Ash worked in capital markets at a national investment bank for over 12 years.
Kam is responsible for the investor relations program and working with the NEXE team to develop and implement the corporate strategy. Kam has over 20 years of experience across a range of roles in finance, including working at a consulting firm covering some of the largest U.S. and Canadian pension plans and as a sell-side equity analyst.

Mr. Hodaly is the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of Wheaton Precious Metals and brings with him almost 30 years of experience in analyzing mining opportunities. He joined the company in 2012 and has since been involved with more than US$9 billion worth of streaming transactions. Prior to joining Wheaton Precious Metals, Mr. Hodaly had spent more than 16 years in the North American securities industry, most recently as Director and Mining Analyst, Global Mining Research, at RBC Capital Markets. Prior to this, Mr. Hodaly held the position of Co-Director of Research and Senior Mining Analyst at Salman Partners Inc., in addition to holding the titles of Vice President and Director of the firm. Mr. Hodaly is an engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering and a Master of Engineering, specializing in Mineral economics, both obtained from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Hodaly currently serves as a director of the Denver Gold Group since 2019, and Director of NEXE Innovations Inc. since 2020 and was formerly a Director of Goldsource from 2017 until its acquisition in 2024.

Our flagship product, the NEXE Pod, a BPI-certified compostable coffee pod, showcases our material’s durability and is an ideal substitute for plastic. The NEXE pod is compatible with major coffee brewing machines. NEXE is just starting and continues to invest in R&D and plans to introduce additional compostable solutions. Potential future compostable solutions include single-use cups for additional food items, such as yogurt, cosmetic containers, and food containers.
NEXE's 54,000-square-foot Windsor, Ontario facility is strategically located on the U.S.-Canada border. The end-to-end, fully integrated manufacturing process is key to NEXE's strategy. The facility is equipped to compound NEXE's own proprietary resin, injection molding key components, and dosing and sealing beverage pods for commercialization.
