Lead Director

Blayne Johnson is currently Founder and Chairman Director of Calibre Mining Corp a multi asset gold producer and Chairman of Featherstone Capital. Recently Blayne Johnson was Founder, Director and Executive VP of Newmarket Gold Inc. which operated three gold mines in Australia with annual production of over 225,000 oz/year. Newmarket was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in November, 2016 for $1 Billion. The Company had a market capitalization of approximately $10 million prior to purchasing the gold mines in Australia and that market value grew to $1 billion in approximately 14 months. Blayne has been a respected member of the investment community for over 30 years and has extensive experience in Capital Markets, financial structuring, mergers & acquisitions. During his tenure as Vice President at First Marathon Securities the firm participated in over $5 Billion of equity financings for junior resource companies. Mr. Johnson was also involved as a Founder of Terrane Metals that was purchased by Thompson Creek in 2010 for $650 million.

Luke Alexander
President, CEO

Luke Alexander brings extensive resource sector experience, knowledge and contacts to Newcore, particularly in West Africa. He has raised billions of dollars and structured deals for major mining companies while advising some of the world's top institutional investment funds. Mr. Alexander began his investment banking career in the private client group at BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto, then started up an equity trading desk for Toronto Dominion in London before doing the same for National Bank. In 2008, he became senior partner at GMP Securities in London. Throughout his investment banking career, he helped fund many major resource projects in West Africa. In 2018, Mr. Alexander founded Park Road Capital, a Vancouver-based, natural resource focused consulting company where he continued to leverage his relationships in London.

Danny Wayne Kent Lee
CFO

Mr. Lee is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with more than 20 years of experience in the mining sector. His experience includes financial reporting for both Canadian and U.S. listed companies with international operations, corporate finance, strategic planning, tax planning, corporate governance, and equity financings. Mr. Lee has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and articled with Deloitte.

Mal Karwowska
VP, Corp. Dev., IR

Mal Karwowska has over ten years of experience in the mining sector, spanning both corporate development and investor relations roles within publicly listed mining companies, as well as corporate finance and principal investing. She spent the first five years of her career at National Bank Financial as a member of the investment banking team, focused on the metals and mining sector. Her prior principal investing roles include Investment Manager at Pacific Road Capital Management, a mining-focused private equity investment firm with approximately US$800 million under management, and Senior Investment Research Analyst at Boston-based Liberty Metals & Mining Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance. Ms. Karwowska's prior corporate experience includes Business Development Director at Oxygen Capital Corp., where she worked closely with the management team on the sale of True Gold Mining Inc. to Endeavour Mining Corporation in the spring of 2016. Prior to joining Newcore Gold she served as VP, Corporate Development at First Mining Gold Corp. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Greg F. Smith
VP Expl.

Mr. Smith, P.Geo. is an exploration geologist with more than 30 years of experience. He has worked for both junior and senior mining companies in various parts of the world which has included the management of multi-million-dollar work programs that have been successful in outlining more than 10 million ounces of gold. Greg brings a broad range of experience from the evaluation of grass roots properties to supervision of advanced projects including resource and reserve estimation, oversight of geological and technical activities for active underground and open pit mining operations including grade control, QA/QC programs and NI43-101 compliance, and advanced technical and economic studies including Preliminary Assessments (Scoping Studies), Prefeasibility, and Feasibility Studies.

Branden Fraser
Vice President

Mr. Fraser, P.Eng., has over 10 years of on-site experience in construction and operations in both mining and processing roles, as well as significant study management and consulting experience. His contributions span diverse regions including South America, Central America, Europe, Africa, and subarctic Canada. Beginning with five years in trades roles within mining and milling operations, Mr. Fraser transitioned to project and field engineering positions with Canadian Northern Mining Corp. and JDS Mining and Energy Inc. in 2014. Notably, he acted as Project, Field, and Commissioning Engineer for the construction and commissioning of JDS Silver's Silvertip Mine in 2015 and Victoria Gold Corp.'s Eagle Gold Mine in 2017. Following the successful commissioning of the Eagle Gold Mine in 2019, Mr. Fraser assumed the role of the site's Heap Leach Engineer. Simultaneously, he provided consulting support for preliminary and Pre-Feasibility designs and assessments for several heap leach projects, including Newcore's 2021 PEA. Before joining Newcore Gold, Branden was a Process Engineer and Project Manager at BBA. Mr. Fraser holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering from Montana Technological University and is a registered professional engineer with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia.

Mr. Forster has been involved in the mining industry and capital markets for over 35 years, having acted as geologist, founder, director, senior executive and financier. Mr. Forster was Founder, President & CEO of Newmarket Gold Inc. which operated three gold mines in Australia with annual production of over 225,000 oz/year. Newmarket was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in a $1 billion transaction in 2016. Doug has extensive experience and a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions, public company management, mine operations, resource project development and equity and debt financing. For over three decades Mr. Forster has been creating wealth for North American and International investors through natural resource discovery, exploration, and operations. Mr. Forster holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc in geological sciences from the University of British Columbia and is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Ryan King

Ryan King brings an established approach to business in the natural resource sector, with specific and targeted applications for delivering shareholder value in the mining industry. Ryan has over 15 years of experience in increasingly senior capacities in capital markets in the resource sector and was responsible for leading the investor relations activities for Newmarket Gold, as the company completed a $2 billion transformational merger with Kirkland Lake Gold. Before joining Newmarket Gold, Ryan was involved in starting Terrane Metals which acquired the Mount Milligan Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia. From 2006 through to 2010 Mr. King was involved in financing, corporate development, all investor relation activities and assistance with the acquisition of Terrane Metals in 2010 by Thompson Creek for $800 million. During his career, Ryan has assisted in raising $250 million for previous companies. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Royal Roads University in British Columbia, Canada, he currently sits on the board of Newcore Resources, Edgewater Exploration and is the Vice President of Calibre Mining.

George Salamis
Independent Director, Audit Committee Member

Mr. Salamis has previously held senior management positions with well-established mining & mining exploration companies, most notably Placer Dome Inc. and Cameco Corporation, in addition to his successful formation and management of several junior mining companies listed in Europe and North America. Mr. Salamis has over 20 years' experience directing the exploration, development and mining operations of a number of gold, base metal and coal projects in many different regions of the world. In recent years, he has also played an integral role, both executive and non-executive, in several large M&A transactions valued at over $US 1 billion and significant financing initiatives, raising over $US 800 million in equity financing for various resource companies. Mr. Salamis holds a degree in Geology from the Universite de Montreal - Ecole Polytechnique.

Mike Vint
Independent Director

Mr. Vint is Associate Director of Mining with Endeavour Financial, a leading financial advisor in the natural resources sector providing advice in project financing, structured finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mike brings to the Newcore board extensive experience in mine operations and construction for precious and base metals as well as corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Vint has spent the majority of his career working in mining operations across the United States and Canada, he then transitioned to the Research department of CIBC World Markets covering the gold sector. Mike was a director of Newmarket Gold Inc. which was recently purchased for $1.0 billion by Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. Mr. Vint is a registered professional engineer in the Province of British Columbia and received his Mining Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines.
