Black Swan Graphene, starts with a graphite concentrate to produce Graphene Naonplatelets (GNP). This is achieved through our patented high shear liquid phase exfoliation. We supply Graphene power and paste to the cement and polymer industry. This additive in small doses of .02% to 1.5% weight, increase the strength, flexibility, tensile properties and decreases permeability all while reducing Carbon footprint by up to 50%. Our products GraphCore™1 for polymers and GraphCore™2 for cements, have already been used in real world application. This has come about from Black Swan Graphene taking our know-how from a lab scale environment to a pilot scale plant in Consett UK. and from that same facilty, ultimately commercial applications in the fall of last year.
Our current facility is located at Thomas Swan & Co LTD, in Consett UK. This facility, which has been in operation for the last 5 plus years, allows Black Swan Graphene to produce up to 30-40 tonnes per annum of graphene material. By way of back ground Black Swan graphene bought all the patents, IP and technical know-how from Thomas Swan. Thomas Swan retains roughly 15% ownership in Black Swan. The equipment used from lab scale, to pilot scale and commercial has remained consistent. This will allow us to ramp production through our new facility which Black Swan plans to build in St Michel Des Saints in Quebec Canada by the end of 2023. We have signed a multi-year agreement with our large global equipment manufacturer for the production and outfitting of our new facility in Quebec.
