Kelly Whelan has a degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, University College and earned a certified public accountant's license in 2001. Ms. Whelan has spent many years as an independent consultant providing accounting, marketing and general business services. Prior to this she served as the Controller of Belfort Furniture, a northern Virginia based retailer that had sales of approximately 40 million dollars annually, during her tenure. Ms. Whelan has also held various positions in accounting in the construction industry.
Richard Staelin is the Gregory Mario and Jeremy Mario Professor Emeritusof Business Administration at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He joined Duke in 1982 after teaching at Carnegie-Mellon University for 13 years. He has also been on the faculties of the Australian Graduate School of Management and the University of Chicago. He was Editor of Marketing Science and President of ISMS. He has won best paper awards at Marketing Science, JMR and JM and was awarded the Converse Award and the AMA Best Educators Award. He is an inaugural fellow in ISMS and the AMA and a fellow in INFORMS. He was awarded the best teaching award for the DKU program in 2016.
Dr. Koneru is Director of Program Management for a contract manufacturing organization that specializes in the design & development of wearable and implantable active electronic medical devices. In his previous role, Sree served as the VP of Product Development for BioElectronics Corporation, where he was responsible for prototype development, physiological testing/clinical evaluation, and regulatory submissions, culminating in several approvals from the US FDA and a CE marking. He also managed the product life cycle from conception to retail launch for domestic and international channel partners. Sree obtained his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering ('15) from the State University of New York at Binghamton, NY- USA. He has a background in bringing Neuromodulation (Electroceuticals) medical devices to market, with research expertise in investigating physiological responses (prototype development and clinical research) of pulsed radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. His vision is to be an industry leader in developing transcutaneous, percutaneous, implantable, and electromagnetic neuromodulation technologies, intended to treat chronic diseases.

BioElectronics is an electroceutical company that develops wearable, neuromodulation devices to safely mitigate neurological diseases and improve quality of life. Our innovative pulsed shortwave therapy technology (PSWT) that uses low power pulsed electromagnetic fields regulate electrical activity of the nervous system. The neuromodulation basis of PSWT presents significant opportunities for BioElectronics to develop optimized technology for diabetic neuropathy, postoperative surgery, chronic wounds, and other applications. In February 2017, BioElectronics announced that it received over-the-counter use market clearance from the US FDA for ActiPatch® for the adjunctive treatment of musculoskeletal pain related to plantar fasciitis of the heel, and osteoarthritis of the knee. On July 1, 2019, the Company announced that it has received market clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its RecoveryRx® medical device, for the treatment of postoperative pain. In February 2020, BioElectronics obtained a new 510(k) clearance from the U.S. FDA, granting over-the-counter marketing clearance for the drug-free ActiPatch® medical device, to cover all musculoskeletal pain complaints. This paves the way for new products to treat all medical claims for musculoskeletal pain, including in the back, knee, hips, wrists, elbow, and ankle.
The Company presently leases 4,100 sq. ft of space. The lease commenced on November 1, 2008, and is currently on a month-to-month lease. The main office consists of seven (7) offices, a conference room and reception area to accommodate staff and complete business activities. A separate area of space is dedicated to product, storage, packaging, machines, tables, and shipping supplies. It is well equipped with desks, computers, furniture, chairs, telephones, printers, copier, fax machine, cabinets and office supplies. The Company owns all furniture and fixtures.
